A sexual harassment lawsuit filed by four Berlin Intermediate School teachers and one of their former colleagues in U.S. District Court yesterday alleges that Darrell Birckett, a vice principal at the school during the 2003-2004 school year, engaged in stalking- type behavior and made inappropriate advances toward the women.
The complaint further alleges that school principal Janet Simpson and Worcester County Board of Education officials failed to discipline Birckett, instead rewarding him with a better position in Worcester County's administrative office, following the completion of the school year.
