Movie games, deservedly, have a bad reputation, one that hasn't been improved this year by the duds based on "Watchmen" and "Monsters vs. Aliens. Since none of the movies here is Oscar-caliber, perhaps it's unfair to hold the related games to a higher standard. Then again, most of them cost a lot more than a movie ticket.

I had my doubts about "The Hunger Games" - Suzanne Collins' novel and the blockbuster movie based on it. Can anything this popular be much good, I wondered? Yes, it can. And if you take a pass on this one, you will miss one of the more important stories to come down the cultural pike in awhile. I'm not saying it's great literature or film. But "The Hunger Games" is a significant story, told well, with disturbing yet hopeful themes that speak to contemporary faith.

"There is a stigma to movie games, for a thousand different reasons. They come out and they don't live up to the hype people create. For us, it was all about creating the definitive Wolverine experience, not recreating the movie.
