The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is proposing regulations to implement certain statutory provisions enacted by Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Specifically, in accordance with section 727 of the Dodd-Frank Act, the Commission is proposing regulations that would define the criteria for grouping swaps into separate swap categories and would establish methodologies for setting appropriate minimum block sizes for each swap category. In addition, the Commission is proposing further measures under the Commission's regulations to prevent the public disclosure of the identities, business transactions and market positions of swap market participants.
This final rule makes changes to several sections of the regulations for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program for states (State CDBG program). This final rule streamlines and updates the regulations to reflect statutory changes, clarifies the program income requirements, provides other clarifications to the State CDBG program regulations, and makes a conforming change to the regulations applicable to the CDBG Entitlement program. This final rule also provides additional flexibility to states in their administration of the program. The final rule follows publication of an October 17, 2008, proposed rule and takes into consideration the public comments received on the proposed rule.
In addition to using state gasoline accounts for frequent fill- ups, records show state Public Regulation Commissioner Jerome Block Jr. charged chimichangas, cigarettes and Gatorade during a Sunday night stop at a Santa Fe convenience store. A search warrant affidavit unsealed Friday says Block, whose state-issued gas card was canceled due to suspicious charges, apparently made subsequent charges to the accounts of other PRC employees.
Teachers, students and principals at most Kanawha County high schools have prepared to move into a traditional school-day schedule, and away from block scheduling. The scheduling change will take effect when classes begin at most schools across the county today .
