I'm a black American, and I think it was right what the firefighters did. Just because you're black shouldn't make you get the job. Just like when you went to school, the teacher gave a gold star to those who did well on the test. Kiki

Today, we are all African-Americans united in racial identification but divided in reality. We are two increasingly divided, dissimilar subcultures. One group is the embodiment and recipient of Martian Luther King Jr.'s dream; suburban, affluent, integrated, acceptable, educated, law abiding, professional African-Americans. Although only one or two generations removed from the ghetto, they have adopted the morals, mores, and methods of the dominant culture; they fit in. Enter angry [Clinton] supporters who are claiming that the Democratic Party is throwing the election away on an "inadequate Black man" and that if she isn't the nominee-hello McCain! Can you imagine the fallout if an [Obama] supporter had been quoted in the media calling Clinton an 'inadequate woman,' let alone an 'inadequate White woman?' The media would have a field day-no make that week!
I'd like to believe that the anger expressed by Clinton's supporters is because of their devotion to her as a candidate and perceived injustices. But after a bevy of racist comments from Clinton's supporters and the Clinton's themselves, I am more inclined to believe that there is a strong segment of Democrats, mostly White, who see Obama's ascension as threatening and it has nothing to do with Clint...

DEAR DR. GOTT: I'm 86 years old and pass black stool. I went to several doctors. One told me to go to the local emergency room, which I did. They took X-rays and blood tests but couldn't find the cause.
I'm on enalapril, HCTZ, Requip, simvastatin, terazosin, temazepam, propoxyphene, aspirin, fish oil and calcium daily. What is causing the problem?

I am black, and I think Milford should handle it. I am so tired of the NAACP and Scot Esdaile, who is a wannabe, low-life Al Sharpton. KeeKee
