Mansur Bilal Ahmed, the caring husband of Naveeda Ahmed, and loving father of Sarah and Aneeb, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 28. Dr. Ahmed, 54, was born in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and raised by his father, Hashmat Ali, and his mother, Asmat. Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree from Nishtar Medical College and Master's in Medical Genetics in Glasgow, Scotland, before coming to the United States in 1990.

GLASGOW, Scotland - When two doctors crashed a Jeep Cherokee into Glasgow's Airport and then set it on fire in a desperate attempt to ignite crude bombs, it was clear to a policeman on the scene that they were on a suicide mission. They did not have a plan B," said Sgt. Torquil Campbell, who apprehended suspects Bilal Abdulla and Khalid Ahmed after the botched attempt to wreak havoc among Scottish vacationers packing the airport terminal.

PORTLAND -- Three Muslim men from Portland who tried, but failed, to enter Afghanistan as Taliban foot soldiers, voiced profound regret for their actions, as a federal judge sentenced them to prison Monday. Palestinian-born Maher "Mike" Hawash, 39, a former Intel software engineer, received seven years in prison, while the Bilal brothers Ahmed, 25, and Muhammad, 23 were sentenced to 10 and eight years, respectively.

• Did Duo Do Both British Bombings?

HOUSTON, Scotland -- British investigators have concluded that the two men who carried out an attack at Glasgow International Airport last Saturday had sped there after a failed attempt to bomb a nightclub in central London, a British security official said Thursday. And, for the first time, witnesses, a neighbor and the police have provided descriptions of the two men -- Dr. Bilal Abdulla and Dr. Khalil Ahmed -- saying they may have lived together intermittently in this placid neighborhood outside Glasgow and that a Jeep Cherokee similar to the one used in the airport attack had been seen speeding around in the weeks before the botched bombing.
