THE least-fuel efficient car on the market is the 12-cylinder Lamborghini L-147 Murcielago at nine miles per gallon, followed by the eight-cylinder Bentley Arnage at 10 miles per gallon. The owner of a Lamborghini or Bentley would fare well under the federal government's mileage reimbursement formula. It is set at 37.5 cents per mile, the maximum allowable for deductions by the IRS.

WASHINGTON -- Hybrid and economy-class vehicles built by Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. reign over the government's annual Top 10 fuel economy list for 2007 vehicles. The hybrid-electric Toyota Prius led the way with 60 miles per gallon in the city and 51 mpg on the highway, while the Honda Civic Hybrid was second with 49 mpg in the city and 51 mpg on the highway, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy said Tuesday.

- Recall for the Rich: Bentley Replacing Ornament
Luxury carmaker Bentley is recalling 820 cars worldwide over fears that its famous "Winged B" hood ornament could injure people in an accident because it might not properly retract. Bentley Motors' European head office in Berlin said the recall affects 620 cars in the United States and Canada and 200 in Europe who added the raised hood ornament as an option on Arnage, Brooklands and Azure models made between October 2006 and March 2009.
