Silent film is taking over Hollywood's awards scene. The silent- era tale "The Artist" heads the Golden Globes with six nominations, among them best comedy or musical, and acting honors for its French stars, Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo. Tied for second-place with five nominations Thursday are the 1960s racial tale "The Help" and George Clooney 's Hawaiian family story "The Descendants." Both films are up for best drama, while Clooney was nominated for best dramatic actor and "The Help" earned acting slots for Viola Davis , Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain .

CHICAGO (AP) - A Chicago Bulls mascot dressed in a bright red costume was charged with attacking an off-duty officer after driving a mini-motorcycle through an outdoor festival. Barry Anderson, the Benny the Bull mascot, was charged with misdemeanor battery and driving within a parkway. The 26-year-old man is accused of throwing a punch at the sheriff's deputy, knocking off his glasses and breaking his watch.

YAKIMA - Mr. , 62 went home to be with the Lord after years of fighting multiple health issues. His daughter Michelle (Clark) Calahan and her husband Don, granddaughter Elyssa Granger, Wendy Shoemaker his beloved companion, and his good friends Silva, Gary, Benny, Michelle and Barb were at his side as he passed. Nigle was born in Yakima, Washington on October 12, 1948, the son of Harold Henry Clark Senior and Novella (Neville) Clark. He was the older of two sons, his brother Harold Henry Clark Junior of Goldendale, WA and one older sister Norella (Copper) Anderson of Wapato. His father died when he was eight years old, leaving Nigle to be the man of the family.
