The Memphis in May 2011 poster honoring Belgium by local artist Tim Crowder was unveiled Thursday. Crowder, 54, a graduate of Memphis College of Art, has been showing work since 1982. Crowder said everyone he talked to told him beer and chocolate had to be represented in the poster. The artist also included poppies to symbolize the sacrifice of Americans who died in battle in Belgium during two world wars.
