MILLINOCKET Two teenage boys who were reported missing Saturday afternoon turned up as personnel from the Maine Warden Service, local police officers and others were getting ready to mount a search for them.
The teenagers, ages 14 and 15, had been attending a gathering at the public boat launch on Jerry Pond when they left to look for frogs, Sgt. Ronald Dunham of the Maine Warden Service said early Saturday evening.

INDIANAPOLIS - Bill Polian is already looking for the next Peyton Manning.
The Colts vice chairman told radio listeners Monday night that while the team expects Manning to return from neck surgery this season or next and to play at least several more years in Indianapolis, he is already contemplating who could be the heir to Manning.

TROY -- Troy's school board President Joyce Reives said she thinks the district is in "a very, very good position to attract top talent" as it searches for a new superintendent to replace Tom Dunn, who is leaving at month's end.
Dunn, Troy superintendent for about five years, has been with the district for 33 years. He resigned July 1, after accepting the job of Miami County Educational Services Center superintendent.

The Mets will begin interviewing candidates for the vacant bench coach job Wednesday, and the first is Jim Riggleman.
The interview was first reported by Newsday and confirmed by a Mets official, who noted that it likely will be the first of three or four candidates to speak with manager Terry Collins and front- office officials.

BOSTON - Red Sox owner John Henry says the team has begun searching for a new manager to replace Terry Francona, and interviews could begin next week.
Henry said on Twitter Tuesday that ownership was briefed by general manager Theo Epstein and assistant Ben Cherington.

MILFORD -- The Board of Education later this month may begin screening consulting firms to consider hiring for its superintendent search.

Falcon School District 49 school board president Anna Bartha appears ready to recommend that the board move ahead with a search for a new superintendent, although some parents, teachers and other community members want the search put off until after the November election.
Board members have been visiting with a few district committees and groups to discuss the search, saying they want to choose someone local who knows the district well. The board is expected to unveil its strategy at its regular meeting tonight.

A request for bids to buy or lease Monmouth Park will go out early next week, Governor Christie announced Friday.

The head of the Allegheny County Jail Oversight Board said on Thursday that she expects the search for a new county jail warden to begin in earnest within several days.
County President Judge Donna Jo McDaniel said she hopes that a search committee will be able to whittle down candidates so that the board can submit three names to County Executive Rich Fitzgerald, who will hire a new warden.
