ORLANDO, Fla. -- It's obvious from watching the Muggles swarm past the entry gates and stampede in a herd toward the back of the Islands of Adventure Park that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a powerful, magical draw.
It's also a huge success with thousands hitting the park and as many or more pints of Butter Beer sold every day. It better be a success since Universal signed a contract that says the franchise rights to Potter's world -- the most successful in movie history -- can be pulled after nine years if Universal fails to maintain minimum high-quality standards, doesn't invest enough capital or sells controlling interests.

In "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," the boy wizard must slay a 40-foot dragon, escape a treacherous maze and do battle with Lord Voldemort, the scoundrel who killed his parents. But there's an even more terrifying test awaiting Harry in the latest adventure: He has to find a date for the Yule Ball.

A stunt, to be sure, but in my line of work there aren't too many opportunities for such things, and I've always wanted to be able to say that I do my own stunt work. I told some people of this plan and noted that the responses fell neatly into two categories: "Oh, that sounds like so much fun!" and (I'm quoting directly here) "You are insane, lady.
