ON January 30th, New Haven took part in the first-ever statewide point-in-time homeless count. The New Haven Continuum of Care, a consortium of private and public social service providers, housing developers, formerly homeless persons, state and local officials, homeless advocates and business leaders led the local count. Two area homeless outreach groups would like to remind people that although the weather may be as hot as a firecracker, it's always cold for people living on the streets.
