The State Bank of La Junta, Colorado, is the first US bank to enable customers to make mobile payments through a sticker attached to their cell phones. The $100 million-asset community bank's mobile-payment program, launched last May, was the first of its kind, according to State Bank of La Junta VP Brad Rose. The mobile-payment program is a partnership among an aggressive community bank, payments network provider Bling Nation and local merchants that see the program making it easier for people to buy in La Junta.
