Gilberto Salazar-Escoboza, 49, was sentenced by Chief Judge Fred Biery in U.S. District Court in San Antonio, Texas, to $500,000.00 in fines and twelve months of supervised release. Salazar pleaded guilty on August 13, 2012, to one count of making a false statement to a financial institution. NORWAY - Norway Savings Bank has received one of the nation's most prestigious honors for financial marketing by winning two American Bankers Association's 2009 Financial Marketing Awards. Preparations for the 20th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing are under way and those in charge say it's a big one! Why is that? Check out a menu sampling; 3,635 pounds of glazed ham, 170 gallons of gravy and 155 gallons of mashed potatoes are just some of the provisions needed to accommodate over 15,000 people that are expected to attend. Founded in 1988, by H-E-B's Food Bank Assistance program, the Feast of Sharing started small, with only two dinners held in Laredo and Corpus Christi. Two decades later, the program has grown to 32 dinners: 26 in Texas and six in Mexico, where they hope to feed about a quarter million people. The program, however, works year round to prevent hunger both in Texas and Mexico.
