NEW YORK, June 6- South African leader Nelson Mandela is scheduled to meet privately in Geneva June 10 with representatives of the organized American Jewish community. The planned meeting is the culmination of months-long diplomatic efforts aimed at asking Mandela to issue a clarification of his views on Israel. Since his release from prison, there has been great distress in the Jewish community worldwide regarding his harsh statements on Israel. What's in a name? When the name is Manischewitz, the answer is 120 years of brand equity, according to Bruce Bossidy, president and chief executive officer of The Manischewitz Co. of Secaucus. When Bossidy (pronounced BAH-sih-dee) was hired in January to lead the company, it was called RAB Food Group LLC.
