LONDON (HedgeWorld.com) - Opening its main funds of hedge funds to outside investors for the first time in April has rapidly paid off for AXA Investment Managers Ltd. with a 20%-plus jump in assets under management to $5.7 billion. The unit of French insurance giant AXA Group attracted the inflows from institutional investors and private wealth managers. When the funds of funds were opened to external investors they had assets of $4.7 billion, more than 90% of which originated with AXA insurance companies.
