The automobile association, which monitors U.S. travel habits with the zeal of traffic cops intent on filling their ticket quotas, predicts holiday travel will rise 3.1 percent this year - 2.6 percent in New Jersey. These statistics suggest Americans have more money to travel. If so, they'll need it, since gasoline prices are rising.
