The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania has opened the doors to 50 new acres of exploration.
The Society last week acquired the Succop Conservancy from the Butler County Community College Education Foundation. The former farm includes a 180-year-old mansion and historic barn in Butler.

The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania didn't have to try very hard to ensure the swells flew the coop on Saturday, trading Downtown for downtime during A Night in the Woods.
Held at the Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve in Fox Chapel, co- chairs Patty Casey and Lucila Andrich circulated among the likes of Jen Zaltman, Eustace and Shelley Uku, Jackie Dixon, AWSP executive director Jim and Leslie Bonner, Dayton Baker, and Dan and Nancy Fales.

MILFORD -- The Connecticut , 1 Milford Point Road, is registering children for a vacation camp. The camp will be held Feb. 19-21. Kindergarten and first grade classes will meet 9 a.m.- noon, and grades two and three will meet 1-4 p.m.
The cost is $30 a day or $85 for the three days for members, and $40 or $115 for nonmembers.

"They are not dealing with growth management, and not much with conservation. There's extremely limited requirements on new housing. Gignac and The Nature Conservancy's Richter maintain that the studies are building a foundation for stronger action in the future.
