Last week, Woodie King Jr., founder of New Federal Theatre, shared his organization's strife. This week's focus is the Billie Holiday Theatre in Brooklyn. What follows is a Q&A with Marjorie Moon, the executive director of the Billie Holiday Theatre.
Moon: Our next production begins Feb. 19. "The High Priestess of Dark Alley," written and directed by Jackie Alexander. We're in preproduction right now-auditions, rehearsals, scenic construction, etc. A typical scenario for us is our season is announced, for the most part, prior to our funders making their announcement to us.
