Family Service has announced the addition of a new CEO, Damian Zavala. Zavala has led an extensive career in the nonprofit sector, most recently with the Family Service Agency - Assistance League of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he was the executive director. Zavala began his professional career at Kedren Community Mental Health Center in 1995 in Los Angeles, where he worked directly with mental health patients as a clinical social worker. Over the years, he directed a youth and family services organization, volunteered as a master level instructor at USC, UCLA, Cal State Long Beach, Pepperdine, Antioch, Pacific Oaks and Cal State Los Angeles and was a faculty member at the University of Phoenix.

PASADENA - Sixty-two judges, 300 competitors and about 10,000 spectators are expected to motor to the Brookside Golf Course on Sunday for the inaugural Los Angeles Concours d'Elegance car show. The exhibition, a fundraiser for the Assistance League of Southern California, will feature automobiles from the 19th and 20th centuries bearing the names of Ferrari, Cadillac, Packard, Bugatti and Chevrolet - among others. The vehicles will compete in 31 different categories.
