A 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after police said he took part in the early-morning robbery of an 80-year-old woman. The woman woke up to four robbers dressed in black and wearing ski masks, one of whom holding a gun, police said.
Police arrested a Dubuque man after a report of a gun during a domestic dispute caused police to block off a street Wednesday. Police did not find a gun after responding to 925 Nevada St., but they arrested John T. Boyd, 56, on charges of domestic assault and first-degree harassment. Police said the incident began with an argument between Boyd and Camisha L. Dixon, of Dubuque, about parking.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday morning after admitting to entering five vehicles and stealing property from a business porch in western Colorado Springs. While police were responding to the report of a suspicous person in a vehicle, they found males, one an 18-year-old the other a 17- year-old dressed in dark clothing, wearing latex gloves, carrying flashlights and walking near the 1100 block of Chambers Drive.

Couple arrested in Boone home invasion Two people were arrested Wednesday in connection with a home invasion in Boone County.
NORTH BRANFORD -- Following a monthlong investigation, police have charged a resident with sexual assault of a child. Robert Dibenedetto, 55, was arrested Wednesday when detectives executed an arrest and search warrant at his Twin Lakes Road house, police said. Police declined to say how Dibenedetto knows the child, or the child's age.
BOSTON - Model airplanes are suddenly on the public's radar as potential terrorist weapons. A 26-year-old man from a Boston suburb was arrested Wednesday and accused of plotting to attack the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol with remote-controlled model planes packed with explosives.
The man suspected of robbing three businesses in Redlands, including one at a Dairy Queen where a woman employee was shot, was arrested Wednesday by a San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy. Nathaniel Dawson, 45, of Highland is suspected of committing at least 20 robberies stretching from Redlands to Ontario, according to the Sheriff's Department.
CHINO - A former slaughterhouse worker pleaded not guilty today to three misdemeanors charges, less than a day after police arrested him in connection with an animal abuse investigation that has led to the largest recall of beef in this country's history.
