• No Arrest Made in Saturday Shooting

No arrest has been made in relation to a Saturday-night drive-by shooting in central Columbia. Columbia police Sgt. Jill Wieneke said police have yet to develop a suspect responsible for the 7:30 p.m. shooting outside Midwest Petroleum, 1202 Business Loop 70 E. A 28-year-old man was shot in the upper arm.

Police said they arrested a New Kensington man on charges of shooting another man in the thigh Saturday evening. New Kensington police said they charged Richard Tihey, 51, of New Kensington with aggravated assault, adding that more charges are possible.

WILTON -- Lawrence E. Dwight Jr., who serves on Maine's Consensus Economic Forecasting Commission, is resigning his post following his arrest Saturday on a charge of domestic assault.
