CHESAPEAKE - , 78, passed away Nov. 27, 2008. He was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Los Angeles, the youngest of three children of the late Daniel (Owen D. Hurlbut) Reams and Catharina Dorothea Koch Reams. He was predeceased in death by his first wife of 32 years, Valerie D. Mattingly Reams and his second wife of 20 years, Edna Mae "Michelle" Philips Reams.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in June 1947 and retired as a U.S. Air Force senior master sergeant with 21 years of service. His early duty assignments were with fighter, transport and bomber squadrons/wings. He later transitioned to duty as an aircraft engine instructor.
