Fort Carson's annual blood drive, held May 12 and 13 at the Special Events Center, collected 367 pints of blood, surpassing last year's total of 280 and this year's goal of 300, said Lori Kuczmanski, blood-donor coordinator for the Armed Services Blood Program.
At least a portion of that blood should have arrived in war zones last week to benefit injured service members.
