After an 9-5 finish for the season, the Cardinals knocked out three teams to become NFC Champions. We've heard of a league champion Cardinals team, before, but it happens to be a St. Louis MLB team not an NFL team. The Arizona Cardinals can hopefully get the respect they've been begging for at last.
Just like the last two games the Cardinals have played in, their still not everyone's favorable pick. Who would think they would've made it this fer other than the fens in Arizona. Is it that the Cardinals weren't appeasing enough for any doubters to follow? This could be why it's a shocker that they've made it this far.
It's a great day for the Cardinals, because there have been a number of years where they have had good players and not gotten this recognition," Coach Whisenhunt said. "A l...

The start of something despite the age of their quarterback and a nonproductive running game or merely a magical five weeks? That's what the Arizona Cardinals face regardless of how they fare in Sunday night's Super Bowl. } The birth of a mini-dynasty with a young quarterback, young coach and Master Lock defense or a troublesome bump in the road? That's what the Pittsburgh Steelers face as they strive for their second championship in four years.
While the subject has been taboo for players, coaches, front- office types and ownership this week, that Arizona is the eighth different NFC representative in as many years and that Pittsburgh missed the playoffs after its last Super Bowl title exhibit how fleeting dominance in the NFL can be.

Arizona Cardinals (11-6) at New Orleans Saints (13-3), 4:30 p.m., WVBT
Fact Quarterback duels are fun. New Orleans' Drew Brees and Arizona's Kurt Warner combined for 8,100 yards, 60 touchdowns and just 25 interceptions during the regular season and had remarkably similar numbers: 514 attempts for Brees, 513 for Warner, 70.6 percent completion for Brees, an NFL record, 66.1 for Warner - except Brees threw for three or more TDs in a game six times to Warner's twice. The Saints also gave up the seventh-most passing yards (235.6) in the regular season, and the Cardinals the 10th- most (233.7). Other than that, I have no idea why anyone would anticipate another air-fest breaking out like Arizona 51, Green Bay 45 in overtime last weekend. No idea at all.

AURORA, Ohio, July 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As school starts across the United States, the pressure is back on teachers, parents and students to meet or surpass the requirements set forth by the No Child Left Behind act. However, most parents and teachers are unwittingly being tackled by leaving their students' vision behind.
In football you know when you are being tackled, but unfortunately it is more subtle for parents and educators," Larry Fitzgerald states. "When a student passes a vision screening everyone assumes their vision is fine and the door is closed on the possibility that a correctable vision disorder is contributing to the student's difficulty with reading. Yet the majority of vision screenings don't test how well, or how long, the student can see clearly at reading...

CAMP CONFIDENTIAL: RB Edgerrln James doesn't like to play much in preseason games, but coaches likely will want him to get as much work as possible running behind a fullback, which he hasn't done for several years.... The team's weakest position is tight end. Starter Leonard Pope has 16 career catches. Troy Bienemann, out of football in 2006, was impressive in the offseason, but coaches hope he doesn't fade once the pads are on. ...

Matt Leinart smiles sheepishly as he leads a visitor to the second floor of his Manhattan Beach home.
I just moved in a few weeks ago so it's still pretty much a disaster area up here." Leinart said.
