That's the opinion of Dan Jay, an architect with Clayton-based Christner, and Jay should know. His firm handled the design of the St. Louis office of Lewis, Rice & Fingersh. Spanning six floors, the project, completed in March 2010, marked the firm's move to 600 Washington Ave., the tower at the former St. Louis Centre. Christner also handled a two-year revamp of Thompson Coburn, which was completed in February. Experienced at working on law firm architecture and decor, Jay's portfolio also includes extensive work with Fortune 500 companies in St. Louis with a special focus on environmentally friendly practices that conserve energy and reduce waste.
