He searches for new recruits - those who can make donations to the Heritage Center and support its mission to save historically significant buildings.

  • Portland may not be known for snow during its winter months, but the local creative spirit prevails through the cold. This year, the Architectural Heritage Center is hosting an exhibit dedicated to holiday cheer for Portlanders with a mind for architecture. The exhibit, dubbed the Architecture and Cityscapes, is free and open to the public through December, with a reception planned for Dec. 7. The exhibit opens Nov. 19 at the AHC, located at 701 S.E. Grand Ave., and the architectural-themed work will remain on display through Jan. 31.
