Redlands East Valley High School's Advanced Women's Ensemble and East Valley Singers, directed by Rita Stevens, recently took a six- day tour of Oahu, Hawaii. They performed many times on the trip, including on the USS Missouri, where they sang several pieces including the national anthem. They sang near the site where the peace treaty was signed with Japan. After their performance, they were presented a certificate of appreciation from the U.S. Navy and a U.S. flag that had flown on the USS Missouri.
