Antti Miettinen scored in the fourth round of the shootout to send the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Mighty Ducks on Friday night. After both teams missed in the first round, Jussi Jokinen connected in the second for Dallas. Anaheim's Andy McDonald matched that goal in the third and final round of regulation.

DALLAS -- Antti Miettinen scored on a penalty shot, Sergei Zubov added a power-play goal and the Dallas Stars beat San Jose 4-1 Wednesday night, sending the Sharks to their 10th straight loss. The slumping Sharks did complete one of the biggest trades in franchise history during the game, acquiring three-time All-Star center Joe Thornton from the Boston Bruins for wingers Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau and defenseman Brad Stuart.
