But later, many team members accepted lucrative offers from abroad, and Hakoah shifted its focus to other sports, primarily swimming, then Austria's most popular sport next to soccer. Adolf Hitler's picture on a postage stamp is one of the illustrations in Eric Lamet's "A Child al Confino: The True Story of a Jewish Boy and His Mother in Mussolini's Italy." The stamp had been affixed to an envelope bearing the last letter the author received from Polish relatives. The letter itself did not survive. Nor, predictably, did the Polish relatives.
