PORTLAND - Surrounded by her family and friends, passed away at Maine Medical Center, Monday, Oct. 9, after a 7-year battle with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. She was born Marcia Anne Langill on Dec. 6, 1943, to the late Barbara Dandeneau and the late James Burton. She attended Portland schools and received her GED at the age of 26. For 20 years, she worked for Marshall's in South Portland, before retiring due to her disease. She also did volunteer work for Seniors Plus in Lewiston. In August 2001, she wed the love of her life, William Rawson in a beautiful ceremony that took place in Lisbon.
SINSINAWA, Wis. - , 82, of the Dominican Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, died at 12:16 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at the Dominican Motherhouse. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at the Dominican Motherhouse. Burial will be in the Motherhouse Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Gathering Place, Dominican Motherhouse, where there will be a wake and remembering service at 6:30 p.m. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Jane Rainier has spent the past few months trying to get Anne Kennedy's dog to live up to his name. So far, she's on the right track, although there's still work to be done before he's truly Tranquil. Kennedy contacted Rainier, who specializes in canine massage, this spring to work with her rambunctious year-old golden retriever, who is called Quil for short.

Air Force Airman Ashlee L. LaBrie graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of James Jones of North Attleboro, Mass., and Christina Boyle of Scarborough. LaBrie is a 2007 graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin, Mass. Army Capt. Caroline Kennedy, daughter of Fred and Anne Kennedy of Scarborough, recently returned from her second combat tour in Iraq. Kennedy is an intelligence officer assigned to a special operations unit at Fort Campbell, Ky. She is a 2002 graduate of Scarborough High School and a 2006 graduate of Tufts University.
