Now, after three straight county and division team titles, the group of Severna Park seniors is trying to put the finishing touches on its near- flawless preps career. All three placed in the Top 5 at the Anne Arundel County Golf Preview, which wrapped up yesterday at Eisenhower Golf Course in Crownsville. Florenz, who edged Brendan Kelly of Annapolis in a one- hole playoff, took home top honors after he posted a 149 over the two-day event that started at Old South Country Club in Lothian on Monday.

As she winds down her impressive high school golf career, Northeast senior Stephanie Connelly is standing in the same place she started - on top of the county. Connelly, who says she never gets nervous on the golf course, shot a 71 at Wednesday's Anne Arundel County golf championships at Eisenhower Golf Course. The front-nine 34 and back-nine 37 were good enough to post the top overall score, a feat she also accomplished with a 74 as a freshman.
