Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 11 AM in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bennett will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, February 2, from 6-8 PM.

Andrew Bennett, jefe de batallón de bomberos, indicó que el incendio se inició cuando un motociclista supuestamente propició las llamas mientras practicaba en la falda del cerro aledaño al basurero El Sobrante. Nick Valdez, de 20 años, fue puesto en libertad, indicó Bennett.
Según las autoridades, Valdez se encontraba practicando motocross en una propiedad privada que no le pertenece cuando las chispas de la moto incendiaron los arbustos secos.Fernando Herrera, capitán del Departamento de Bomberos del condado de Riverside, aseguró que aunque el incendio no fue premeditado Valdez será responsable de los gastos utilizados para apagar las llamas.
