Lauren Anderson scored what proved to be the game-winning goal on an assist from Emma Farrell with 1 minute, 51 seconds left in the first half to lead the Cheshire field hockey team to a 2-1 Southern Connecticut Conference win over Guilford on Tuesday. Anderson's goal and another by Miranda Garcia earlier in the first half gave the Rams a 2-0 lead at halftime. Ali Tucker cut the lead to 2-1 for the Indians with 13:23 left in the second half but the Rams were able to hold on.

• Arts Council Exhibit Reflects On Car Crazy' Culture

SAN BERNARDINO The Arts Council for San Bernardino County (ACSBCo) unveiled its newest car-inspired exhibition, "Car Crazy," Friday, Sept. 10. Featuring the work of recognized local artist Rick Cummings, the exhibit explores all the ways people fall in love with the ubiquitous automobile and will remain on display until Oct. 22. A reception for the artists will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18. Cummings has invited a wide-range of fellow Inland Empire artists to join him in this visual ode to the car, among them Eden Anderson, Rafael Garcia, David Rosales, Bill W.
