"Showing up on Sundays, knowing you'll have two or three guys gunning for you was tough," Brown remarked. "But I got myself ready each week and I competed."

Continuing with the diversity theme, NASCAR asked American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino to sing the national anthem under a fly-by of F-18 hornets. Furthermore, African-American officials numbers have grown noticeably due to the push of NASCAR governing body.
In time, individuals like [Dean Duckett] could move further up the ladder in the NASCAR chain giving a Black face to the corporate world of NASCA...

Junior Chauncey Washington will start (similar to in 2003, when Hershel Dennis started ahead of [Reggie Bush] and White), but Washington doesn't have Gable's explosive ability or Johnson's bruising, downhill style. The question: ball security. And yes, that's a big one. But Bush and White got through It; so will these freshmen.
