SUTHERLAND - The generosity, kindness and caring of Joseph Grant Bland Sr. and Evelyn Gibbs Bland were remembered and celebrated Thursday by members of three communities who had received much from the Blands' lives and were shocked and saddened by their sudden passing. More than 300 people packed the sanctuary of Ocran United Methodist Church in Sutherland for the funeral of the Colonial Heights couple whose murder last Friday remains under investigation.
