ATLANTA, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company (NYSE: SO), announced today that President and CEO Bob Dawson will retire on Oct. 1, 2011.
The company also announced that Don Horsley, vice president of customer services for Mississippi Power, will succeed Dawson as president and CEO of SouthernLINC Wireless and Southern Telecom. Horsley will transition into his new role Aug. 1. Dawson will remain with the company, serving as chairman of the board, until his retirement on Oct. 1.

WOOSTER -- of Wooster celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 18. They were married in 1961 at Nashville Church of Christ by the Rev. James Killgrove.
They are the parents of Linda (Mike) Gaumer and Rob (Cindy), both of Wooster, and Kimberly (Jon) Herman of Shreve. They have six grandchildren.
