This is the third part of Cheri Barstow's story of a trip in Scotland, arranged by Redlands travel agent Helen Hull. Barstow works with nature spirits and traveled with four women who belong to a spiritual group. In the first two parts, the women left their Dark Isle hotel in the middle of the night after a black-gloved hand came through the window, then saw mysterious lights in an ancient battlefield during a nighttime drive. The story continues as the battle sounds and strange blue light fade away. I started the engine, the lights went on and we saw that were had stopped right in front of a sign that said we were some thousands of meters high in the mountains. There were snow markers all along the road. Maybe because of the battles I felt as if we were somewhere near Glen Coe.

Ancient man stared at the lights in the night sky and thought, not for the first time, "These are about me, right? The study of stars splits on the clean line between soft (astrology) and hard science (astronomy), and the hard scientists' decision on what defines a planet has the softer theorists scratching their chins, contemplating the possibilities.
