Decades ago, the owners of the Spirits of St. Louis, an American Basketball Association team, negotiated one of the great contract coups in the history of sports.
Some $200 million later, the long-defunct team is in court asking for the revenue stream to be even a little larger. But the former ABA team lost a round earlier this month when a New York appeals court said the lawsuit should have been filed in federal court.
