A former top executive of Denver-based FirstBank has been named president of American National Bank to succeed Dennis Nathan, who died last month after building a career as one of the better-known bankers in the Colorado Springs area as a result of the bank's philanthropy and volunteer efforts.
Koger Propst , American National's new president, most recently was executive vice president of FirstBank Holding Co. of Colorado, the state's second-largest bank with $10 billion in deposits. He had served as president of several of the company's banks during his 30- year banking career.
