- Paterson Taps Fema to Help Flood Victims
Paterson officials on Wednesday began preparations to provide alternate housing for displaced residents, fearing that floodwaters may leave many dwellings uninhabitable for some time. City officials asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency to set up a satellite operation in Paterson to assist with the large number of residents asking about alternate housing and financial assistance for repairs or losses, said City Administrator Eli Burgos.
