Thank you to stranger for gift We were in the east side mall this week and we stopped by the sports store. While in there, a gentleman was talking to my husband Jim about the Green Bay Packers, of which my husband and the gentleman's wife are diehard fans, and he picked up a Champion hat and put it on the counter and said, "Here, this is for you," to my husband and continued to pay for it. A proposal to reimburse Board of Aldermen members for a portion of their cellular phone use is sounding a new ring. Dwight Alderwoman Joyce Chen, D-2, has suggested allocating up to $40 per month per alderman for cell phone use. But during the Aldermanic Affairs Committee's review of the proposal, a compromise was reached that offers legislators a choice of cell phone reimbursements or bulk mailings to maintain communication with constituents.
The full board has approved an amendment to Chen's proposal, allowing the board members the select between two options.
