Roger and Margie Byrd of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Christi Michelle Byrd, to Jason Gregory Santora, son of Matthew and Deborah Dillon of Cream Ridge, New Jersey.
Christi graduated from Glenvar High School in 2005, Virginia Tech in 2008, and currently attends Radford University earning her master's degree in school psychology. Jason graduated from Toms River High School North in New Jersey. He then graduated from Virginia Tech, where they first met, and works as an engineer in Reston, Virginia.

Everybody is on the run from something. That's the premise of the drama series "Breakout Kings," which premieres tonight on A&E.
Created by Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora, the writers and producers of the Fox series "Prison Break," "Breakout Kings" likewise involves convicts and lawmen, only this time on the same side. When a dangerous prisoner escapes from a maximum-security prison, the chances of catching him go down dramatically after three days. So to increase the odds, two U.S. marshals, Charlie Duchamp (Laz Alonso) and Ray Zancanelli (Domenick Lombardozzi), employ three convicts with specific skills to track them down in exchange for time off their prison sentences.

John P. Ferguson received a severance package of more than $5 million when he was forced out as president of Hackensack University Medical Center last year, bringing his total compensation for 2009 to $7.7 million, according to recent federal tax filings.
His senior vice president for operations, Doreen Santora, received $2.6 million -- including more than $1.5 million in severance -- when she left in the executive reshuffling that followed, the documents show.
