Brace yourself for Malaysia's first real snowfall, which will cascade from the sky and be used as a magnet to draw visitors to i- City. FOR A large part of the world's population living outside temperate zones, the chance to touch, feel and gambolF in snow is such an enticing prospect. This attraction of real snow falling from the sky - or as close as it can get in the blazing equatorial heat - is set to become a big lure to draw visitors to i-City in Shah Alam. Developed by I-Berhad, this feature will enhance its arctic-themed recreation-cum-edutainment centre called Snowalk which was created at a cost of RM10 million and opened in December last year. Up to 90,000 visitors a week have made a beeline to Snowalk to experience a sub-zero environment that at present features ice sculptures...

SHAH Alam, the capital of Selangor, has emerged as one of the fastest growing cities in the Klang Valley with at least 15 property development projects on 2,600 to 2,800 hectares currently underway. In 1978, Shah Alam replaced Kuala Lumpur as the capital city of Selangor following the incorporation of Kuala Lumpur into a Federal Territory in 1974. Shah Alam was the first planned city in Malaysia after independence in 1957.
