A construction company plans to begin work on a nearly $300,000 project to make repairs and improvements at Redlands Municipal Airport starting Monday.
The Redlands Airport Apron Rehabilitation Project is expected to be completed by the third week of July, city officials said. The work shouldn't affect airport traffic.

More than 30 Glenville State University students braved rain, mud and chilly temperatures on Tuesday to plant 1,300 trees on the slope of a reclaimed construction area at Charleston's Yeager Airport.
The blend of red oak, locust, Chinese chestnut, Scotch pine and Norway spruce seedlings from the state nursery should help anchor the steep slope along the Elk River side of the main runway, adjacent to an area where dirt was removed to be used for Yeager's runway extension project. They should also provide food and shelter for wildlife and restore a woodland appearance to one of the airport's steeper slopes, which is clearly visible from Interstate 79.

The Federal Aviation Administration is reimbursing the Tunica County Airport for the cost of a new terminal that opened last fall.
The FAA announced Monday it was awarding a $1 million grant for the terminal construction.
