PANAMA CITY, Panama - Former military strongman Manuel Antonio Noriega was flown home to Panama on Sunday to be punished once again for crimes he committed during a career that saw him transformed from a close Cold War ally of Washington to the vilified target of a U.S. invasion. Noriega left Orly airport, south of Paris, on a flight operated by Spain's Iberia airlines. He was delivered directly to the aircraft by a four-car convoy and motorcycles that escorted him from the French capital's La Sante prison.

MORONI, Comoros -- A Yemeni jetliner carrying 153 people crashed into the Indian Ocean on Tuesday as it attempted to land amid severe turbulence and howling winds. Officials said a teenage girl was plucked from the sea, the only known survivor. The crash in waters off this island nation came two years after aviation officials reported equipment faults with the plane, an aging Airbus 310 flying the last leg of a Yemenia airlines flight from Paris and Marseille to Comoros, with a stop in Yemen to change planes.
Boeing Boeing is a 1960s play with a title inspired by the planes that began to take off in that "jet age." Back then, airlines didn't have attendants. They had beautiful stewardesses of many nationalities. Put them all together and you have a hilarious comedy. Head for Lyric Theatre at the Plaza and enjoy the fun. The play will be onstage until April 16. The plot involves a handsome American architect, Bernard, living in Paris and "engaged" with and to three airline stewardesses, Gloria, the American; Gabriella, the Italian, and Gretchen, the German. How does he do it? He has the schedules for all three airlines and never lets more than one of them be in Paris at the same time. The fun begins with airline schedules changing unexpectedly.
