HOPEWELL -- Air pollution in some parts of Hopewell is at levels that put residents at a higher risk of getting cancer, according to a new study released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The assessment released last week also ranks Hopewell third- riskiest among the cities and counties in the state based on the chemicals found in the city's air. The city has the 78th-highest risk of cancer from air pollution among more than 60,000 localities assessed in the country, placing it in the top 2 percent.
