Why would anyone pay $10.6 million for land valued at $18,640? The William K. Warren Foundation closed such a deal this month, buying 97.2 undeveloped acres in south Tulsa across the street from the Saint Francis Heart Hospital, just north of the Creek Turnpike. Tom Cooper, the chairman and chief executive of the Warren Professional Building Corp., said the foundation has no plans for the agricultural land acquired from BHO Inc. of Tulsa. The property is at 91st Street and Garnett Road.
STRATTON - The Dead River Area Historical Society met June 4 at the Stratton Community Building. Ron Pratt attended the meeting and told of the Agricultural Museum at the Farmington Fairgrounds. Plans are being made to have a historical exhibit of Stratton/Eustis, Dead River, Flagstaff and Coplin, the areas represented by the Dead River Area Historical Society.
