STONY CREEK -- At director elections held recently, Robert H. Spiers Jr., of Stony Creek, was re-elected to the AgFirst Farm Credit Bank board of directors for a four-year term, beginning Jan. 1, 2010. Working in alliance with his son, Spiers farms full-time, growing corn, soybeans, wheat, and tobacco on 1,100 acres in Dinwiddie County, Va. He is a director of Colonial Farm Credit, headquartered in Mechanicsville, and has served on its board since 1980. He is also a director for the Dinwiddie County Farm Bureau, Tobacco Associates Inc., and the Virginia Flue-Cured Tobacco Board.
