The aerospace industry must improve its record of delivering satellites and space systems on time and on budget, Northrop Grumman CEO Wes Bush said Tuesday in Colorado Springs.
The aerospace industry faces unprecedented challenges with government customers tiring of cost and scheduling issues, new economic and budget pressures, a growing concern about the vulnerability of space systems and the expanding availability of substitutes for space systems, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, Bush said. He made the comments at The Broadmoor hotel during the National Space Symposium.

Oklahoma's aerospace industry is an essential part of the state's economy.
