The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a proposal to change a portion of airport land from aeronautical use to non-aeronautical use and to authorize the sale of the airport property. The proposal consists of all or portions of Parcels 209A, 213, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221, 314, 315, 401, 402, 404, 406, 407, 408, 409, 410, 411, 412, 413, 414, and 416, totaling 605.3 acres. The land consists of portions of the original airport parcels. These parcels were acquired by the Wayne County Road Commissioners of Wayne County, Michigan, its successors and assigns (Wayne County Airport Authority) from the U.S. Government, General Services Administration without federal participation.
